Here are answers to some of the most common questions we hear about Wesley SecureCare.
What is Continuing Care at Home (CCaH?)
Continuing Care at Home is a Life Care membership program that serves people where ever they call home. Participants are covered by a comprehensive package of long-term care services designed to enable them to remain independent and live at home as their care
needs increase.
Who would join Wesley SecureCare?
Wesley SecureCare is a good choice for anyone 60+ years of age whose health conditions are well-managed, who lives anywhere in Maryland and wants to preserve their assets, maintain control and have peace of mind.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Discounts are available for dual membership, if you
have an existing long-term care policy, or if you pay your monthly fees annually.
Is Wesley SecureCare portable to a retirement community?
Yes. A portion of your entrance fee can be transferred
to a Type A CCRC, or our program can pair with a
Type C CCRC.
Can Wesley SecureCare work with my long-term care insurance?
If you already have long-term care insurance, our membership options can complement your policy by providing an extra layer of financial security and benefits.
Our staff will review your current long-term care insurance policy to estimate any monthly fee discount that you will receive. See contract for details.
Does CCaH provide home care?
CCaH pays for and coordinates home care services,
as well as other types of long-term care as needed by
our members.
Do I have to use your preferred vendors and providers?
Members have the freedom to request any vendor or
facility, and our staff will vet and help them establish an agreement with those providers.
Will prices and benefits change?
Each year, both fees and your coverage amounts will be adjusted with the Consumer Price Index (CPI), providing members with the security of predictable costs and
benefits that adapt to inflation.
What if I move? Can I take Wesley SecureCare with me?
We understand that plans can change, so our program
is portable throughout the United States, and can even
go with you if you move into a retirement community.

The Maryland Department of Aging requires that we maintain certain levels of financial reserves, along with ongoing actuarial review, so you can feel secure knowing we’ll be here
for the long term.
Am I too young and healthy to need CCaH?
It’s never too early to investigate CCaH, but it can be too late. If you are over 60 years old, you are old enough to
join a CCaH in Maryland. Members join when they are functionally well and ready to plan for their future needs.
